I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
